Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive online instruction in the Life Skills Pathway subjects, including Personal Psychology, Speech Communication & Debate, Creative Writing, Workplace & Internship Readiness: Preparing for Work & Life, and Peer Counseling.
• Design and implement curriculum that encourages self-reflection, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive online learning environment that promotes active participation and collaboration among students.
• Create and deliver asynchronous lessons and assessments aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
• Provide timely feedback, guidance, and support to students to facilitate their personal and professional development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to ongoing curriculum development, and enhance the learning experience for students.
• Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor student progress, identify areas for growth, and implement targeted interventions as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and school administrators to address individual student needs and concerns.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, trends, and best practices in life skills education and personal development.
• Collaborate with the instructional support team to address technical issues and ensure a seamless learning experience for students.
• Contribute to the overall improvement and growth of the school by providing input and feedback on instructional strategies and curriculum enhancements.
• Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth by participating in relevant professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Possession of an active teaching certificate in the relevant state is mandatory.
• Proven experience and success in remote teaching, preferably in a high school setting.
• Expertise in life skills education and personal development, with the ability to teach and coordinate subjects such as Personal Psychology, Speech Communication & Debate, Creative Writing, and Workplace & Internship Readiness.
• Familiarity with peer counseling methodologies and techniques.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage online instruction and assessments.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage and support students and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators.
• Genuine passion for empowering students in their journey toward self-discovery and personal growth.
• Ability to attend virtual meetings and actively contribute to collaborative initiatives.
• Experience working with both domestic and international students is highly desirable.
• Availability and flexibility to work part-time hours, accommodating students across different time zones.
